I opened the dishwasher to put some dishes in there and found a disgusting amount of aunts. My grandma was going to spray it with ant killer but I called my dad and he said that was a bad idea so what can I do to get rid of them?

  1. Exactly what Indiana Jones up there said.

Terro is your solution. Nothing else worked for me up until I decided to purchase some Terro.

  2. I had this problem one year but just made myself remember to run the rinse cycle everytime I put stuff in there.  They gave up on it!

  3. Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it back to their queen. Ants can’t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die without her.

  4. There is a item called Terro.  It is a thick clear liquid that you put down as bait.  The ants eat it, carry it back to their nest and share it with their mates and queen and soon the colony is gone.  Just spraying will only kill the ones you see or walk across the chemical path.  Use Terro
