ANY IDEAS ON HOW TO GET CHEERWINE OUT OF CARPET?

My daughter spilt a fairly decent amount of Cheerwine on new off white carpet - instead of telling me immediately went about 5 minutes unnoticed. I used some clothes stain remover as soon as i saw it but it just kinda made a pink/red stain... any ideas - i would appreciate any help

Unsure what Cheerwine is, but when we spilled red wine on our carpet our "carpet cleaner" told us to pour club soda on it, let it set for a few minutes, then blot up with a towel. Worked great!
