  1. I am not far away in Co. Donegal.

  2. What Nothern Ireland? where is that, oh wait, you mean England? lol. since its run by England, its like being run by other ppl, i wud have thought by now NI wud have got its independence & be part of the Republic of Ireland or at least the be Ulster separate from Britain & the R.I.

  3. Emm Barking Dog its Co. Derry not Co. Londonderry.

  4. Why is Upper Lough Erne at the bottom of my map and Lower Lough Erne at the top? My map is the right way up ie North ot the top!

ps I thought Fermanagh was in the North of Ireland.....for Barking Dog that one! lol.

  5. Nope not me but Happy new year to you.

  6. Yes. Best country in the UK. County Londonderry.

Isabella don't be stupid it's called Londonderry because it has historical links with London. Ballinderry isn't called derry and neither is Londonderry.

The main loyalist brotherhood in Londonderry is the City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge. It's Londonderry but don't let it get you down. County Fermanagh is in Northern Ireland, most northern tip of Donegal is north of Ireland.

  7. i doubt it i dont think they even have the internets there

  8. Barking Dog it's Derry City Council, City of Derry Airport, Derry City Football Club, Derry City Rugby Club.

I live in the Waterside, and everybody, Protestant or Catholic, calls it Derry.

Some Unionists like to annoy Nationalists by saying Londonderry, but the main loyalist brotherhood is the Apprentice Boys of Derry, and when they have a marching band going it might just play "Derry Walls".

    It's Derry.

You are of course entitled to wander the streets muttering "Londonderry" to yourself, or for that "Londonbelfast" or "Londoncoleraine" since they also have a strong London connection etc. And for the same reason go down south and refer to "Londondublin". But that would be silly wouldn't it?

  9. Limavady, that's up in the NW of NI. Don't think that's in England last time I looked at a map though. NI has it's own Assembly so not even 'run' by England though it comes under UK law. Maybe England (which comes under UK law) is run by Northern Ireland!! lol. Why would NI want independence? The majority don't want that. Maybe it's time that we cut off England from UK and gave them their independence.

And Northern Ireland isn't Ulster. Ulster is 9 counties, NI is 6.

And I should add that EVERYBODY in the NW refers to L/derry as Derry, catholic or protestant, unionist or otherwise - sure wasn't that were your father wore his sash? 'It was worn at Derry, Aughrim, Enniskillen and the Boyne...'

  10. Um I'm not but my mum is.. Ballinamallard near Enniskillen

  11. I'm from Backaderry (Banbridge area) nowhere near Londonderry or Fermanagh but I wish you all a happy New Year.
