hey im competing at the Sport aerobics world titles in december?

i just wanna no wat russia is like! i no its FREEZING lOl.. i heard in december its like -30 degree's? lOl.. so yeh whats it like there?

The cold climate in Russia is a very common stereotype that a lot of foreigners have. In fact, Russia is a huge country, and even if you have a very basic understanding of geography, you can guess that there will be some cold areas as well as hot. Therefore, it really depends where you go in Russia, and maybe the winter will not be as cold as you imagine. To give you an example, I am originally from a southwestern area, and in the winter time I hardly remember our temperatures dropping below -5 - 7C (I believe it's somewhere around 13F). I don't this it's too cold, of course, unless you are used to not having a winter at all...

Russians are by nature quite hospitable and friendly, but also rather honest. So if sensed that you're being fake it will be told to your face.

Its a beautiful country, bring spending money, and try as much food as you can. I don't know where you're from but its very different from lets say American food. Like a normal lunch is 1st, 2nd and 3rd, which is soup (always), some meal like pasta, potatoes, meat and etc. and lastly dessert. We like to eat and feed people.

If you'll be walking outside and such, don't attract too much attention, like being loud and obnoxious you don't want to attract any very confrontational people.

Oh and Russia is a bit dressier then US so dress accordingly.
