ANsWeR fAsT; time's a wastin' (literately, I have only like 2 hours)?

Okay, in the middle school I'm going to, there are houses. (A.B.C) My bfs from elementary are either in A or B. Me? I'm obviously in C. I'm so nervous on how to make friends. I don't know how to start a conversation, or who to even start one with. Its really going to stink. We have orentation at 1:00 today, and it lasts 'till 4:00. The catch? Families are coming in at 4:00-6:00 and that makes it even longer. Idon't know what to do. Any help? Please, remember that it's like 10 after 11 and I need to leave at like 12:45..? idk, well just try to answer!

Just pick a friendly-looking person, someone who has a locker next to you. Say 'oh, hi' and if they say 'hi' back just keep talking.

Just relax. There has to be other people like you. Talk to people by asking how they are...what they did over the holiday and conversations should develop from there. Don't worry the main thing is to be relaxed! And think positive...think that everything will go fine and that you'll make lots of friends.

There are probably 5 kids in the whole school who *don't* have your problem.  when you realize that everyone is nervous, everyone is scared and no one really knows what to do, you'll be more relaxed.  When you're more relaxed, it's easier to make friends.

Just be yourself.  Trust me - you'll do fine.

I PROMISE everything will be alright.  We had houses as well at my middle school. (my middle school was the largest in America...thats scary!) anyway, I didn't know anyone in my house either, but once you start talking to your other classmates, you will meet new friends....just have a good time + talk to MANY different people!
