  1. Make sure you find out if the child has any allergies to certain things so you wouldn't have to find out the hard way. Find out if the child needs any medicine or vitamins at a certain time of the day. Be alert and always know what they're doing, because if you dont, they may get into a medicine closet or end up consuming chemicals. If the child needs something to do, encourage them to take a walk outside or something with exercise or educational fun. Find out what board games, TV shows, Movies, lunches, dinners, ect. the child likes to help entertain him/her. If the child is struggling with homework or anything else, help them and teach them ways to benefit for when your not there to help. Also teach the child morals like sharing and treating others the way he/she wants to be treated so they can become more independent whlie growing. If the child cant sleep, read them a bedtime story.

  2. Find out what games the child likes and play around with the child. Just be sure to apply restrictions

  3. depends on how old the kid is, ok, well for ALL children no matter what age, dont let them out of ur sight because if something happens they ALWAYS look at u like, how did this happen and y wernt u there to prevent it?

  4. Act responsible, and quick. Follow everything the parents say and answer questions honeslty. If they call and want you to babysit a bit longer always say yes. Make the kids have the best time of their life and make them remember your name. (when they get home. they will say " I miss/want _______ ur name)

  5. always keep the child busy!

  6. 1. Make sure you know the parents rules, do not let the children try to get things over on you generally children do that when they have a new babysitter

    2. pay attention to the kids get that bonding time, if you and the kids bond the parents will have you come back again and again...

    3. you could go to the dollar tree and buy some things like coloring books that type of thing and create a fun bag, so when you go see the kids they will have something to keep them entertained and the kids will have something to look forward to.

    4. Make sure you know all the kids food allergys and bedtime all those details.

5.Never be scared to ask the parents any questions or concerns you have.

6.Try to be there friend but be there babysitter as well dont give in!

7.If the kids seem difficult and your fusturated just take a deep breath and differ the sitaution.

8.Give the kids options like do you want to play a board game or color.

9.NEVER let the kids out of your site, children get into things very fast!

    10. If its a younger child wanting to play with something they shouldnt find something to distract them, children at that age are very easy to distact hand them a new toy or anything to that effect.

  7. Keep the child busy and try to find the correct balance between playmate and stern babysitter children hate to feel bossed around so step back a little bit give them options like which one do you want for dinner macaroni or chicken? for example also play lots of games weather it's video games (not too much) or a classic board have lots of fun at the same time don't be a push over about half of the kids I baby sit think they can get away with anything if you see them doing anything they shouldn't be doing go ahead with a quick "Hey knock it off" should work if it doesn't time-outs are fine one minute for however old the child is. Make clear crying doesn't work if the waterworks bust out DO NOT GIVE IN!!! just keep a cool head if you get all frustrated it doesn't help at all. Last but not least keep them in your sight unless they're at a good age that they can decide to go to thier room just make sure that they won't do anything bad

    Best of luck=)
