AOL user is receiving "%4" in her emails sent from Yahoo group, instead of "@" sign in email addresses.

Question

I have set up a Yahoo group and use it for a distribution list. I have one AOL user who sees "%4" instead of "@" in emails sent from the Yahoo group.

Is there some setting she needs to change in her AOL email, or in her Yahoo group setting?

My last question was closed by Yahoo because someone voted - but the problem was not solved, so I'm asking again. It's not anything that she is seeing on the Yahoo home page. These are individual emails she receives because she is a member of my Yahoo group. The problem shows when someone gives their email address - the "@" appears to her, in her AOL email, as "%4".

**it was unclear from your first question that she was seeing this in her own mail box, and not only on the group page.  I have AOL and have had a corrupt file in the e-mail. they'll tell her to uninstall and reinstall that software, unfortunately you just cant repair that single area. if at all possible, she should test on another computer with AOL software and log onto her screen name and go into her mail. she also must know that any mail in that corrupt file isn't going to come back, or even if she saves it and installs it back, it'll then be installing the cause again.

there is no setting in AOL to fix this. if this person is still seeing it, then it is a corrupt AOL file within the browser or software itself. this can happen for a number of reasons depending on the users activities.  this person either needs to contact AOL- and more than likely needs to repair the corrupt file, and most times the only way to fix that is re-install the AOL software. their computer operating system may also affect this

you nor I can solve this- only way is to call AOL support. it isn't a Yahoo issue- it's an AOL specific issue
