AP Art History?

I have it next year. What is a good way to increase my knowledge of different artists (etc.) so I know some things ahead of time? Or, what artists and art movements (etc.) do you really study in this class? Thanks.

  1. You can certainly use Google or Yahoo search to get information on the various movements of art in history, but if it were me, I'd head for the public library. There are oodles of great books on Art History and some of the better coffee-table books will have fantastic photography.

Do you have an art museum close to where you live? I used to love to visit during the day when fewer people were milling about.

Whatever you do, be sure to bring a notebook and take LOTS of notes. Sometimes, just writing information down will help you to retain it for when school starts.

Art History is fascinating and the world would be a better place if more people studied it.

    Good for you!
