AP Bio Seed Germination?

Question

We're testing to see germination with regular and salt water.

Imagine you are a graduate student working on a Masters degree in biology, and your professor hands you this farmer’s dilemma. Design an experiment to determine:

I. which variety of cucumber will tolerate salt the best.

II. at which level of salt concentration each variety of cucumber suffers a 25% decrease in germination rate.

Include:

a. explanation of IV’s

b. explanation of DV

c. a diagrammatic sketch/storyboard of the experimental design (attach or on back)

d. what you would tell the farmer based on hypothetical conclusions

I'll answer this tomorrow if it's still empty. But I can tell you from experience, this is far too simple an experiment for a grad student!!
