I am going into 9th grade. My school doesn't offer honors biology so they put me into AP biology. Should I switch out or what?

  1. What you do depends on how you handle the work involved. Are you ready to give the course what it take to pass? If not, the drop now before its too late.

  2. AP Biology is a more advanced level of Biology that is a step up from Honors Biology. I've been in the Honor's Biology class and things weren't that difficult. I was enrolled into the AP class with a friend of mines, and it was a tad bit more strenuous. There were just lots of details and information that you need to know. If you want to be challenged, then stay. If you're not up for all of the work, and believe me there's a lot of work involved, then I suggest you not take the class. Just know that towards the end of the class, there's an exam you must take that cost around $80-90 that'll give you some sort of college credit.

  3. Yes, I think you should go for it. It looks great on a college resume. There's  a lot of work involved, and a lot of stuff to memorize, but the subject itself isn't too difficult, its just time consuming. There is a big difference between honors bio and AP bio. AP is much harder, and there's an exam at the end of the year that you're supposed to take to get credit for the class. If you do really well on the exam (it's out of 5), you may not have to take biology in college. Good luck.
