AP Courses?

If I take an AP course next year, do I HAVE to take the AP exam or is it optional??

the ap test is optional, most teachers will pressure you to take the test, becuse that is the entire point of the course is to prepare you for the exam, but you dont HAVE to take it. however you will not recieve college credits if you dont take it. but sign up for the course, you may decide that you want to take the test before the money is due for the test

Taking the AP tests is optional, but you should take it cuz colleges don't look at ur score when u apply (so doesn't matter how bad u do. but if u pass, u get skip classes in college! (save money, time, etc.)

it's really easy to pass. 40% on ap us history = pass

60% ap calc BC is a 5/5

It depends on your school.  Most schools don't care whether or not you take it, but some, like mine, require that if you take the course you take the exam.  The exam is really not all that difficult to pass, and if you do, not only do have the AP on your college app plus you get out of college classes.
