AP English Exam?

I have to read two novels this summer for my Honors English 11 class next year in order to prepare for the AP English exam and i wanted to know, what books are worth reading that will be the most beneficial for the exam?

Read something with some old english... there is always a passage with that language on the exam.  I would buy an AP Prep book and study that.  If you know the book, I GUARANTEE you a 4, it just all depends on your writing (for the essays.!)

There are two different AP English exams: Language and Literature.

Nevertheless, good books to read would be by Shakespeare (Hamlet, Macbeth), James Joyce (A Portrait of the Artist as a  Young Man), Tennessee Williams (The Glass Menagerie), Henrik Ibsen (A Doll's House, The Wild Duck), Sylvia Plath (The Bell Jar), Jane Austen (Pride & Prejudice), etc.
