AP Statistics or AP Calculus?

I want to go to NYU, and I'm debating on Statistics or Calculus for my senior year math course. Which one would look better on a college application?

I'm taking honors trigonometry as a junior, if that helps.

  1. Well AP stats, I heard that is an easy class. But colleges would like a harder class like AP Calculus. Just to warn you, its going to be tough. I had some friends in AP calculus and they say its hard. If your willing to take the challenge of a hard class, then I'd say go for it.

    good luck!

  2. It depends. If you go to nyu majoring in business take either one. It don't really matter because you will take calculus and stats in college.

If your majoring in something not in a business field, then i would recommend you take calculus. i think everybody have to take calculus but not stats.

If you could, try to do both. If not either one looks great. When i was in hs all the smart people took calculus (i don't know why). But in college all the students complain that stats is really difficult so maybe you should take stats (only if you major in business such as accounting and finance).

Either one looks great on your college application.
