My school doesn't offer this class, so I was going to independently study this. Could someone explain this to me? I don't really understand the class and the portfolio that we send in. Thanks.

  1. You need to pick which portfolio to do: 2D Design, Drawing or 3D. After you do that, you need a Breadth portfolio, Concentration portfolio, and Quality portfolio. Breadth is 12 slides (for the 2D and Drawing, I don't know much about 3D) that shows the variety of things you can do, so use lots of different media, design elements, subjects, point of view, colours etc.,. Concentration is another 12 slides that have a common theme. You'll have to write 2 paragraphs; one explaining the theme, and one explaining connections between your theme and your artwork. Quality is 5 of your best works that you physically send in, as opposed to the slide forms of the other two portfolios. This can be works from Breadth and Concentration, or a set of totally new 5 pieces. That is the basic outline of the course :]
