  1. 98.0 MHz = 98.0 x 10^6 Hz = 9.80 x 10^7 Hz

    (lambda) (nu) = (speed of light)

    (x) (9.80 x 10^7 s^-1) = 3.00 x 10^8 m s^-1

    x = 3.06 m

  2. For waves in general, the speed of the wave equals the product of its frequency and wavelength.

    speed = frequency x wavelength

    wavelength = speed / frequency

    The speed for radio waves is the speed of light.  All electromagnetic energy propagates at c.

    c = 3.00 x 10^8 m/s

    wavelength = 3.00 x 10^8 m/s / 98.0 x 10^6 1/s

    wavelength = 3.06 m
