AP grammar and literature HELP PLEASE!!!!!!?

im taking AP literature/english this year, including composition.

what will i expect to learn in this course.

i have an essay to write on what i expect to learn and i need help.

step one, get yourself a writer's guide, can't think of the title right now, but it is broken down much as a dictionary and presents all the proper titles, abbreviations and word usages for all journalists. For instance, when to spell out numbers (1 - 10) and when to use the numerals. How to abbreviate all the states properly, when to use ave. or avenue, etc.

Been to long since I owned one, but they are invaluable. Go to your school bookstore or a bookstore on a college campus if you can't find one. Think they are purple and orange now.
