AP photo of tornado?

There is something wrong with the AP photo of the tornado supposedly hitting Iowa on Yahoo! news from Midwest flooding. I got this same photo from friends after the tornado hit Chapman, Kansas. On the left side of the tornado is a square notch missing out of the tornado. Tornadoes don't have missing square pieces. Also there is no rain or hail and the streets aren't wet. Can you see what I see? Midwest Flooding - Yahoo! 1. Your right the square does look kinda weird but it jut might be a spiral moving around the tornado. As for the rain not all super-cells produce rain, as weird as that sounds, but its true. In addition the rain is usually associated with the front of the storm and the tornados that I see on the radar are usually at the southern end. Now that's not always the case. You might want to reference rain wrapped tornados. these you usually cant see due to intense rain surrounding it. But as I stated earlier not all super-cells produce rain. It depends on its source region and specific characteristics of the atmosphere at that time.
