Can someone who's been through the class and gotten a 4 or 5 on the exam give tips on how to study? .

Also, is it unusual for a senior to take it? My science progression was different at my middle school, so my high school progression made me end up with all the AP in the senior year. Additionally, my teacher isn't much help, because she thinks that all the seniors will just fail (when the pass rate for juniors this year was pretty bad too).

 1. Most people take AP Chemistry as a junior but it really doesn't matter. I took the class and the test and got a 4. I think what's really important is make sure you that you study the basics. What you learn in AP Chemistry is the advanced stuff like kinetics, and electrochemistry, equilibrium, some thermodynamics. I could've done better had I known the basics and just go online you will find tons of free response practice work on tons of reactions (I took it a while ago) but they had those free response where you had to predict the reactions. A lot of the multiple choice questions tested you're basic knowledge of chemistry as well as the the stuff you learn in AP Chemistry. If you don't have a good teacher you should consider getting the princeton review and then going to you're public library and school library and check out other review books. If you have some friends in the class each of you buy a different review book and form study groups to learn the material. Don't procrastinate study from the very beginning and just make sure that you can do the problems in any way possible. Understand the theory also some questions asked about the theory.
