APs How old were you when you adopted?

I was 25 when he was born and came home, and it was final 18 months later when it was final, I was 26.

My son was placed with us when I was 23. We finalized our daughters adoptions first tho, I was 25.

We were 31 (we adopted when China was taking less than 9 months to send out referrals) and now we are looking into adopting our second through foster care and we are both 34.

I was 41 when I began and completed my son's adoption.  He's now 9 months.

I know some would consider this "old", however, I'm a much better parent now, than when I was 22 and had my oldest son.  

I'm planning on adopting at least 1 more child, preferably 3 more (in a sibling group through foster care, if I can get them on the ball to teach the required courses).

Anyway, I was 28 and my husband was 35 when our son was placed with us.

I was 25 when we adopted our first son, and 27 when we adopted our youngest.

My mom was about the same age I am now...34-35 when they got me, my dad two years older.

WOW, she'd be about 70 if she were still alive.  I just realized that.  Time flies when you grow up, so many things they missed out on...so sad.

My parents were 30 and 35 when they first took me home -- which back then was older for first time parents. My dad was the grey haired kindergarten father. :-)

When our son came home, I was 32 and my husband was 30.  We finalized the adoption a little more than a year later (so I was 33 and my hubby was 31).
