AQHA a rip off?

If in forming the AQHA the smaller ranches were excluded from entering thier stock how does the AQHA claim to have the best Quarter horses,might not a horse off a smaller ranch been a better horse if they were allowed to compete.

Look, I showed AQHA Youth World Champions and point leaders and learned 1 very important thing about the horse industry, regardless of breed or club.  Money gets you what you want.  Whether it is ability to register & compete at the races or a #1 pick at the World Show by 3 of the judges who just received free breedings to the #1 stallion in the USA to place the stallion owners daughter ahead of kids who actually completed the correct pattern. (true story, stallion was sold and owner put out of business, daughter quit competing, big beautiful ranch still sits vacant on I35) It also seemed that the more silver on the saddle, the more ribbons on the wall.  Thank GOD I showed Hunters and Jumpers where you actually had to know how to ride to compete.

Yes, some of the best horses never get a chance to become "champions" because of money!

Are you asking when the AQHA officially recognized racing or when the stud books/brood mares and progency ?? were compiled, culminating in breed standard and The foundation sire recognized??  Either question in my opinion never excluded smaller ranches or operations, for authoritative answers go to the official site www.AQHA.org
