ARE ALL MINORITY GROUPS inherently suspicious of one another?

ex. Women suspicious of Women, Blacks not trusting of Blacks, etc..

It seems like minorities are inherently suspicious of each other which makes it difficult for minorities, like women and Black people to form a cohesive political group (such as the Feminist Movement, Obama v Jesse Jackson, et al) because it usually crumbles from within for this very reason.

Why do you think this is? Historical or psychological reaosn

  1. Not at all.  If that were the case we would still be ruled by England...maybe not even here.

Omaba (not fully black anyway) has very good reason to not support Jesse Jackson.  He has been involved with much controversy as a result of playing the race card too often.  If he were not supporting M.L.K. that would be a different story.  Sometimes (most of the time) these things have more to do with the people and personalities involved, not how they were born.

But I do not think there should be any political group based on, age, s*x, race, sexual orientation, religion, etc.  That is called segregation, which we found to be harmful to society and progression of equality.

  2. political reason.

men mistrust women just as much as women do, but we're too scared to say it because we'll be branded as sexist. White people mistrust black people just as much, but dont wanna be seen as racist.

this is why there is an apparent mistrust from within, but in actual fact its more about finally being able to admit true feelings

  3. You have no firm basis of your question. Since civilization

human is suspicious of each other. Obedience, a virtue

disappearing fast in our modern times.

  4. Firstly, no. In fact, most political groups are not cohesive, look at all the different forms of liberalism, conservativism, communism, Religions (i.e. Christianity - how many types are there now?).... it's actually normal for this to happen. It's a bit cultural, but mostly because people have different perceptions of the problem, they come up with different groups/aims/targets.

Secondly, since when were women a MINORITY? We're 50% of the population!

  5. I think minorities are more suspicious of people outside their minority group, including members of other minorities.  That would be like people of color having a problem with homosexuals, or g*y men making sexist comments against women, or women attacking women born with intersex conditions, or Hispanics who hate African-Americans.

As for what causes this, I would have to say it varies.  Most often, it is because of feeling insecure or inferior, so one has to have someone else to look down to in order to relieve that feeling.  You would expect members of minorites to respect members of minorities, but they don't.  Instead, they project their self-hate onto them, or so it seems.

  6. Most organizations are created to address a common concern. The problem is when the concern has been fixed the leadership like the position and power involved and refuse to shut it down. The organization becomes radicalized and irrelevant and ends up making outrageous statements and actions to gain attention.

  7. Last i checked women outnumbered men 2 to 1.... We are classifying them as a minority now?
