  1. Hi!

I just got a lingual arch yesterday. It's about the same as lingual braces....except that there are any brackets, just the wire around the inner side of my bottom teeth. I have an overbite, so my orthodontist decided to put the arch in order to expand the lower jaw and help it grow to eliminate the overbite.

Anyway, I have had some problems speaking ( some words don't sound right when I try to talk ) I would say that there is pain, and I haven't had anything to eat in a while because I can't chew that well and it is quite painful to eat. But other than that, it's okay. I took a Tylenol and now I feel better. :)

  2. hum i wonder... they should be just as painful as in front.
