  1. No, because it's ILLEGAL to post date a check.

If you don't pay at the time you sign, it voids the contract - which is what an insurance policy is.

Just wait until you have the money, then buy the insurance.  Meanwhile, don't drive.

  2. Writing a post-dated check does NOT guarantee that it won't be cashed ahead of the date.  Many banks accept them regardless of the date.  And why would you want to do that, anyway?

  3. I agree with src50.  I have had many checks that have cleared even though I post dated them.

  4. Yes, Safe Auto.

  5. find at http://theclickinfo.com/insurance.go

  6. I believe it is against the law for any company to accept post dated checks

  7. Some smaller agencies and brokers

  8. A check is considered good once they get it.  Post dated or not.  The few that do accept them, and abide by the dates, my decline coverage if the check does not go through and a claim is filed.

Post dating a check is not illegal.  The date on the check is irrelevant if post dated.  Floating a check is illegal.  There is a difference.  If both parties are in agreement for a post dated check, it is 100% legal.
