I AM MUSLIM AND I AM TRYING FOR ACTING...HOWEVER I AM NOT GETTING ANY CALL BACKS...I WANT TO GO TO OPEN AUDITIONS I SEE AS THIS IS MY ONLY WAY TO BE KNOWN...OTHERWISE I DON'T STAND A CHANCE DO I? i only want to make something of myself...i know i am not a terrorist. i am a normal woman; living a middle class life i have never liked to be normal...i always have wanted to do better for myself, to exceed past my day to day limitations...please don't be harsh i love everyone no matter what ur background is...im just speaking on past experience, trolls haven't been nice to me before...

I am not sure what being Muslim has to do with your not getting called back—unless you were a Hijab to your audition. The truth is in order to succeed as an actor you need to play a lot of roles and none of it has to do with your physical appearance or religious persuasion—the problem is simply thus, how many women do you see on tv with a Hijab? Not many as a director I would be hesitant of casting you if the role you are auditioning for probably does not require you to wear the hijab because I wouldn’t want to offend you by asking you to remove it. TV and film is all about appearances and they hire costumers who are professionals that interpret the script and decide what each actor is going to wear—you severely limit the number of roles you can get. Unfortunately being an actor means making sacrifices on your appearance I would love to have bleached blonde waist length dreadlocks but having my hair like that would limit my ability to play 19th century british women, and southern belles, shakespeare’s queens.

If you are not wearing the hijab, then you need to work on your audition skills.
