  1. Catch with your hands not your body

  2. follow the ball all the way to your hands no matter what, even if you know your gonna get popped, your gonna get popped either way so you might as well come down with the ball. you want to catch the ball with your hands not your body because the ball might bounce off your equipment. that's why you'll hear them say " he's got great hands" good luck to you and i'll see you in the hall of fame. p.s. remember to have fun. =)

  3. There really isn't much to catching a ball, its just if you have the natural talent or not. The most important thing is to be relexed. When I'm doing drills during practice, I try to be as loose as possible. If i focus and concentrate to hard on trying to catch the ball, I drop it. Just be poise, calm, relax, know what your doing, and the ball will go in your hands easily. Dont think to much. Hope this helps.

  4. As a slot rec. you make sure you know your routes, and be sure to catch with your fingertips and not the palm of your hand and don't trap the ball against your pads or stomach. Keep your eyes on the ball at all times whether it's a screen or if your running down field don't shy away from contact and don't pay attention to the corner or safety.

  5. on the day of the game put on alot of lotion dont let your hands get dry all day if u have to get duck tap and rub it on yo hands till it gets hot this will keep yo hands soft

  6. soft hands, just catch it. its not that hard, bro....well obviously it is for you cuz you are only on freshmen team...if you were good then you'd be on jv or varsity, dont ask us though dude, ur coaches should be working with u....they prolly dont wanna waste their time with you though, since u have no hope

  7. -If the ball is above your chest, make the diamond everyone is talking about, like JayZ.

-If it's below your chest keep your pinkys together and fingers spread.

-Always catch the ball away from your body, never let it get to your pads. When you're practicing without pads this is even more important.

-When your catching passes in practice always over exagerate looking the ball in. Actually stare at it for a second after you tuck it away. This will train your eyes to follow the ball. Trust me it works.

-I know this will sound weird, but work on catching the ball one-handed. You always have DBs and LBs pulling at you as you're bringing it in, getting comfortable with the ball only helps.

-Never stop to jump for a pass. Run though as fast as you can and put your hands up at the last second. You lose a step when you reach too early or jump.

    Good luck

  8. form your hand like a diamond, that will make the football naturally fit

  9. yes, you stick out both your hands and wait for the ball to come when it comes close you hands together with the ball inside, you just caught the ball, now you run the the end zone for a touchdown without getting tackled.

    Hope I helped

  10. simple.

    when running

all you need to do is keep your eyes on the ball

    dont focus on anything else.

when catching put your hands up in FRONT of you only when the ball is going to hit your hands.

your thumbs and index fingers should touch to make a diamond.

have the nose of the football go through the nose and on contact your other fingers will naturally grasp the ball.

    good luck

  11. Watch the ball all the way into your hands and into a cradle by your side before you try to run.

In your time away from practice try to get someone to throw the ball to you, or lie down and throw a ball up as high as you can and catch it over and over and over. You can also try catching the ball at the end of your fingertips to help strengthen them.

This is somewhat like hitting a baseball off a tee. It will force you to keep your eyes on the ball and get your hands used to doing the right thing even though it will not be exactly like live action.

  12. tape your first two and your last two figures together it will make catching easier

  13. shap your hand as a diamond but not fully because it would bounce off. and when is is a flypass and you are open come under the ball.
