ARIES MEN - Scorpio girl needs some insight...?

so an ex boyfriend that i was in a serious relationship with about 8 years ago popped back in my life (if you're curious read up on my last question)... we talked on the phone for an hour on friday for the first time in FOREVER... when the subject of "significant other" came up he kind of played it off... granted, he told me the truth...he has a girlfriend...but from the sound of it (based on what and how he told me) she's more serious about the relationship than he is. now my best friend is an aries (female) and she says when an aries is in love they express it...because they are expressive of all their emotions...so she says if he were in love he would not have made it sound like he's leaving open a window of opportunity with me... that same evening he sent me a text to joke about this LOUD and funny hostess lady at a sushi restaurant we had mentioned in our convo (i went to the sushi place that night for a birthday celebration) so i know he must have been thinking about me even after our conversation.

his girlfriend is going on her final backpacking excursion for the next 3 months..

just looking for some insight on what this aries male might be thinking about at this point in time...

he was very in love with me and i broke his heart..

also, any suggestions/advice? i wouldn't mind getting to know him again but the girlfriend thing is buggin me... don't really care to meet her and such...don't want to be stuck in the "friend" zone...LOL

Aries men are highly sexed as believed Scorpios are also.  They are extremely romantic and that is probably what brings him back to you.   Scorpios are known for their self control though you are extremely passionate.  This s*x thing is what makes you two come together.  Is that the main reason to have a relationship is for you to decide.  The ying and yang better the Scorpio and the Aries person is not really perfect.  In other words you may not be a most compatible couple unless you are born on the cusp of your sign.  If you are go for it.  If not the feelings that you have that are making you doubtful about the relationship obey and head.  Scorpio is a water sign while Aries is a fire sign.  when water and fire come together it makes for a steamy romance but there must be an exact bend for it to be good and stay good.  Too much water and fire is extinguished.  That is not a good thing.  Another reason to give the relationship a serious consideration.  My conclusion is that it can work with effort on both of you, but if you want a more naturally compatible relationship let him go on his way a good friend and find yourself a water sign person for more compatibility or even maybe an earth sign person.
