im 16 and im a junior in high school im undecided if i wont to go in the army reserves or just the army i know it don't matter but what makes more money ive wanted to be in the marines or the army but i decided to be in the army but if u could help me with this id really appreciate it if u have msn will u please add me and talk to me about it cawoodbaseball_23@hotmail.com that is my email too if u would like to help thanxs agin

  1. if you are planning on making it a career then go to college and go in as an officer.. Takes a bit more up front but think it would be worth it for you.


  2. Active is a career. Reserves is more of a part time job. You make more being active Army, living on base. If you're ready to go overseas do what you do my man.

You'll make more money if you are active duty vs. Reserves.  If you decide to go Reserves, look into the Simultaneous Enrollment.  You're basically in the Reserves and attending college at the same time.  You'll get paid at the rank of E-5 (SGT) and upon completion of your degree, you'll become a commissioned officer.

    If you want to see if you'll like being in the Army before making an officer commitment, enlist in the Active Army for about 3 years.  You can start out on your career and opt for the Green to Gold option and obtain a scholarship.  They offer athlete scholarship for high scores on your fitness test as well as the ROTC scholarship depending on your academic scores and potential.
