Question:

AS Business or AS Psychology?

I am stuck between the choice of these two subjects to study at AS and I am unsure of which one to pick for the simple reason that I enjoy them both but I want to know which one I will get the most out of and which has the most job prospects after. Your opinions would be appreciated. Thanks.

  1. depends what you want to do when your older if you want to do buissness do buissiness, if you want to do social science do psychology i did psychology and thoroughlly enjoyed it, just missed out by a point on a B gutted lol, youll learn about freud, and child development, stanford prison experiment, milgrams electric sock therapy etc

  2. I would choose AS Business.  I did A-level Business Studies and found that what I learnt would help me in many areas of work, even though it wasn't required for my university degree.  I also really enjoyed it, but that was because of the teacher I had.  It teaches you to think in a more logical way, and who knows, u may want to be self-employed at some point in the future.  Psychology would be interesting, but I know a few people that did it and were disappointed with it.  It would help you if u wanted to do a degree in Psychology, but it is not always required.  Maybe look at the AS level books and see which one interests u more.  If you think you've made the wrong choice after starting, you may have a chance of changing as long as you don't keep it too long.

  3. Depends on what u want to do really. If u want to go on to do medicine or be a teacher or social worker, go with psychology. If u want to go on to do business, choose that.

Generally tho, business is a more useful subject and is very interesting- I'm doing it myself. If ur looking for a wow factor for unis tho, do economics. Unis LOVE ppl who've done economics. I did it for GCSE's and found it SO interesting.

    Best of luck!
