How is cash in the novel as i lay dying similar to others members in his family?

arghh I just took a test on this book today.  So Cash's leg is similar to Addie since they have both been physically damaged.  Addie watched her coffin being built, was covered by it, put into the river.  Cash watched the cement being mixed, was covered by it, and then water was poured over it.  Cash is also unable to communicate well with his family, just like the other members...that is why his chapters in the beginning of the novel were lists and short.  He is obsessed with balance, but he is unable to achieve it (physically with his leg, and also emotionally), just as the other families are consumed with problems of their own.
