While rumours continue to circulate regarding potential signings of Paris Saint-Germain, the club from the Principality of Monaco has targets of its own this mercato.
The club’s new owner, Russian billionaire Dimitry Rybolovlev is keen on guiding the club to the summit of Ligue 1 in coming years and in order to do that, he needs to make sure that a strong Monaco squad is assembled that can first win promotion back to
Ligue 1 football.
Having already completed the signing of Andrea Raggi from Bologna, the Monegasque club has now completed the signing of Denmark international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Midtjylland-c39165.
The 28-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at the Stade Louis II for the next three years for an undisclosed fee.
The midfielder played for Denmark in two games at the European Championships recently and gave a good account of his talents despite the Football Aces being knocked out of the competition during the group phases.
While talking to the official website of AS Monaco, Poulsen said that he is very happy to have joined AS Monaco as the move represents a major step in his career. The midfielder also said that the project at the club impressed him a lot and he wants to help
the club regain its lost status.
“I have a profile of a midfield runner, I am a hard worker, I do not mind the defensive duties and I cover a lot of ground. Tactically, I am disciplined and have a pretty good vision of the game. I like to make the final pass and sometimes score some goals.”
Jakob Poulsen started his career with Esbjerg and in 2006, was snapped up by Dutch Eredivisie side Heerenveen. Two seasons later, he joined AGF before making a move to FC Midtjyland where his solid performances earned him a ticket to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032 with
the Denmark national side for the Euros.
A move to AS Monaco is a huge one for the Dane and he would be hoping to replicate his Danish Superliga form to Ligue 2 next season.
