After securing moves for Jakob Poulsen, Delvin N’Dinga and Andrea Raggi, the Principality club is now keeping tabs on Argentine international
Fernando Belluschi
Claudio Ranieri, the new coach of AS Monaco has been handed the task of guiding the club back to Ligue 1 football. The 2012/2013 campaign promises to be an exciting one for the Principality club. Under the new Russian owner, who has promised to inject 200
million Euros for the next four years.
This summer, Ranieri is targeting players with international experience. Already, the former Juventus manager has secured the services of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Andrea-Raggi-c5707.
However, the Italian tactician is not finished here. Portuguese sports daily, Record claims that the Monegasque club is very much interested in securing the services of Argentine international http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-Belluschi-c13628.
The 28-year-old playmaker is currently under contract at Portuguese giants FC Porto. Trained at Argentine side Newell’s Old Boys, Belluschi exploded for giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186.
For the Dragoes, Belluschi has so far played 69 games and scored 6 goals. However, the second half of the 2011/2012 campaign was writing on the wall for the player as he was loaned to Italian Serie A side Genoa where he scored one goal in 14 appearances.
Though Genoa were given the purchase option for the player, the Liguria-based club chose not to exercise that option.
The reigning Portuguese champions have currently several options in the midfield like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Fernando-c13609, Steven Defour, Lucho Gonzalez, Moutinho and Iturbe which means that Belluschi will find it hard to establish himself in the first-team next season.
Even though his contract is until June 2014, Porto will not object the player’s departure. AS Monaco on the other hand, would love to get their hands on the talented player whose passing ability and lethal long range shots could come in handy in Ligue 2.
Nicknamed the Samurai, Belluschi will not have a lot of reservations in playing at a Ligue 2 club as the project seems to be an exciting one to say the least.
