AS Monaco star Chu-Young Park attracting interest from LOSC Lille and Stade Rennais – Ligue 1 news
Following the relegation of AS Monaco to Ligue 2 after a disastrous 2010/2011 Ligue 1 campaign, South Korean international Chu-Young Park is linked with a move away from Stade Louis II.
Earlier reports suggested that the 25-year-old might leave the Monegasque club for English Premier League giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 FC and the player also openly admitted his preference for the Reds. However, Liverpool though linked with the player, are yet to make
an official bid which means that other clubs who have been monitoring Park’s situation at Monaco are willing to sign the player.
Reports now suggest that the South Korean is attracting interest from Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille. After the departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Pierre-c29989 Alain-Frau (31), Lille are in the market for a new striker. Furthermore, Lille coach Rudi Garcia is a long-term admirer of the
Korean and is keen on having him aboard for next season. Stade Rennais coach Frederic Antonetti is also very impressed by the Korean’s performances and is considering making a bid for the striker as he looks to recruit a few players ahead of next season where
Rennais will also be featuring in the UEFA Europa League.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sporting-89-c40576 Director of Stade Rennais Pierre Dreossi while talking to the media said that the club is interested in signing the striker and said, “We are interested in Park. Wages could be a problem at our club as we want to keep our account books balanced”,
said Dreossi thus pointing out the fact that wages might be a big hurdle in the transfer.
Olympique de Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Seoul-c39205 striker who scored 12 goals in 33 Ligue 1 games for Monaco this season. The player’s wage demands could prove to be a hurdle for most of the French clubs apart from
PSG who now have the bargaining strength to offer lucrative deals for their targets. Reports suggest that Park is expecting to earn atleast 200,000 Euros per month wherever he goes next season, a price that not many clubs in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 can afford especially Lyon
and Marseille who are in debt.
A move to the English Premier League remains a distinct possibility with Bolton Wanderers and Manchester United reportedly linked with the player.
