AS Roma's striker Francesco Totti breaks Roberto Baggio’s goal scoring record: Serie A News
AS Roma's striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Francesco-Totti-c13940, has broken the legendry striker's, Roberto Baggio, goal-scoring record in the Italian Serie A. The Golden boy of Italian football, Totti, scored two goals in Roma’s 3-2 victory on Bari in an Italian league encounter to
surpass Baggio’s record of 205 goals.
In 471 appearances for Roma in the Italian league, Totti has 206 goals against his name and he does not plan to give up his scoring boots any time soon.
Furthermore, Totti has been instrumental for Italy as well, in 58 appearances he has scored nine times. The player retired from international football in 2007.  
Despite his age (34), Totti wants to keep playing at the top level and the striker certainly hopes he can add more goals to his already impressive tally.
Totti said, "I am happy to have got past another record and I hope to continue at these levels."
Totti could have scored more goals in the match against Bari, but the striker failed to convert a goal from a penalty kick.
He added, "It was a thrilling night, but it's a shame about the missed penalty. However, we showed strength and will to react like a great team. The group is united and we want to show we are still alive."
At present, Roma are placed sixth in the Serie A table, they are levelled on points with Udinese and trail the fourth-placed Lazio by a single point. However, Roma’s city-rivals do have a game in hand.

He said, “If we had drawn it would have been over, but now we can pressure them [Lazio]."  
The next target for Totti will be to beat the record of Jose Altafini and Giuseppe Meazza who have scored 216 goals each and are joint-third in the all-time leading scores list in Italian league.
