The Rossoblu CEO has revealed that the young striker could stay at Siena for another season or return to the Grifone, where the club will consider offers for the striker.
Genoa CEO Pietro Lo Monaco has revealed that AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 moved early in the contention of Mattia Destro, and are now well placed to acquire the services of the budding star.
The 21-year-old is a highly wanted commodity in the summer transfer market, and is currently at Siena after the club chose to take the option to buy-back the part-share in the player at the end of the loan period.
However, the Marassi are looking to buy the half-share back from the Robur, so that they can entertain the offers that they are receiving for the striker.
Pietro Lo Monaco stated that there is a good chance that Genoa will be able to acquire the full ownership of the player, and insisted that after that there is a good chance that the attacker will be sold to AS Roma.
The Rossoblu chief was adamant that the Giallorossi made an early move for Destro, and are well placed to strike a deal for the highly wanted player.
The Grifone CEO went on to stress that the Siena striker has all the attributes to be a part of a great club, and insisted that the Maggica have proved more than anyone else that they are willing to be that club.
While talking to the press, Lo Monaco said:
“In the eventuality that Genoa manage to sign him back from Siena, then I can say with some certainty that Roma moved early and very well for the player. Roma have taken the steps they feel necessary and player has proved that he deserves to play at the
highest levels.”
Genoa patron went on express his hope that the co-ownership deal regarding Destro will soon be resolved by the two outfits.
Lo Monaco stated that while there is still a possibility that the striker could stay at Siena for another season, he will be sold out if Genoa are able to acquire the full ownership in the player.
“I hope that we can resolve the situation with Siena at some stage this week. There are only two options for Destro. He will either stay at Siena for a season or he returns to us and we will then consider offers.”
