The agent of Juventus defender, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paolo-De-Ceglie-c29083, has revealed that AS Roma are interested in signing his client during the January transfer window.
De Ceglie has struggled to find first-team opportunities at Juventus Stadium after http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Giorgio-Chiellini-c14963 has been moved in the left-back role. It is believed that Luis Enrique is a huge admirer of the powerful left-back, and he is
looking to sign him in January.
Agent, Carlo Pallavicino, revealed that Roma have discussed a possibility of signing the defender with Juventus. He insisted that the deal is different from what they had with the Turin giants for the signing of Marco Borriello.
The striker recently joined the Old Lady from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603.
While talking to the reporters, the agent said,
“I know that Roma and Juventus have discussed De Ceglie, quite apart from the talks that happened when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-Pizarro-c10581. De Ceglie’s contract
expires in a year and it is our intention to wait for Juventus to call a meeting to discuss the renewal.”
The former Siena star’s contract at Juventus runs until the end of the 2012/13 season, and according to the agent, his client wants to discuss a renewal with the club. He insisted that apart from Roma, several other clubs are interested
in signing the left-back too. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan are also reportedly monitoring the full-back, as their manager, Claudio Ranieri, admires him a lot.
“The lad is wanted by many clubs and not just Roma. He is very admired by Inter Coach Claudio Ranieri, who during his time at Juventus gave Paolo a lot of playing time.”
De Ceglie is currently in his second spell with Juventus, as after emerging from their youth system in 2006, he left them to join Siena after only a year. The 25-year-old re-joined the Lady Killers in 2008, and has gone onto make
55 league appearances since his return to the club.
The defender has managed only five appearances in the ongoing season.
