AS Roma striker, Mirko Vucinic, has claimed that he never wanted to leave the club, instead wants to know where the club is heading after the 2010/11 season ends. He denied speculations linking him with other clubs and confirmed that he would be staying
at Roma regardless of what the new owner has planned for the Giallorossi.
Vucinic was reportedly set to leave Stadio Olimpico during the summer transfer window but the striker has exactly the opposite in mind. He mentioned that he is pleased to be a part of Roma outfit and wants to achieve new heights playing with the club.
Since the takeover of the Serie A outfit by American investors, Vucinic’s future with the club along with many other players has come under scrutiny. The striker, though, has confirmed that he is ready to continue serving http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 and if asked to leave, he is
ready to do so in favour of the team.
The 27-year-old added, “I never said I wanted to leave Roma. I haven’t even talked to my agent with regards to my future, let alone made a decision."

He urged his side to maintain their composure ahead of Roma’s last game against Sampdoria. The former Lecce
man also hoped to see his side into the next year’s UEFA Europa League but was disappointed on missing out on the UEFA Champions League spot.
Vucinic concluded by saying, “I want to wait for the new directors and hear what their plans are, then make my decision based on that. Recently there have been far too many insinuations about my future, but there is no truth to any of it.”
The striker’s contract with the Roman side will expire in June 2013 and he has no plans of leaving the club before that. He has had a decent season with the club, scoring nine goals from 27 Serie A appearances.
