AS Roma’s Vincenzo Montella hails his side’s performance against Bari, eyes for Europe next season
AS Roma caretaker manager for the season, Vincenzo Montella has praised his side for the comeback against AS Bari. He claimed that the team has the confidence and the winning mentality to beat any side.

Montella heaped praise on his side for the determined performance but admitted Roma didn’t play well in both the halves. He revealed that there were few positives for the Rome-based club and expressed his frustration with the two players sent off, claiming
the team has to show some maturity and responsibility.
The former striker acknowledged the confidence of the players to overcome difficult situations as only nine men left the pitch at the final whistle against Bari’s ten.
“The only positive apart from the result was our determination to get there. We didn’t play well in either half. This match was our season in a microcosm, as we’re capable of just about anything and sometimes overcome difficult situations with our determination,”
the former Roma forward claimed.
The Italian stated that a manager should be happy after a result like this but the performance was nothing to be proud of. He admitted that there is work to be done by the team if they have any chances of qualifying for the UEFA Champions League at the end
