After a successful 2010/11 season, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127, Christophe Galtier, the former coach of Marseille,
is positive that Les Vertis will further improve their performances next term.
The Stéphanois were able to build on a 17th placed finish from 2009/10 season as they ended the 2010/11 Ligue 1 Championship on tenth 10th spot. With the new season fast approaching, Les Verts have to prepare for the inevitable departure
of Matuidi.
Known for his playmaking and strong tackling skills, the 24-year-old defensive midfielder is expected to leave this summer. However, Saint-Etienne have already found a replacement for the French defensive midfielder.
Galtier has Charles Kabore of Olympique de Marseille on his radar as a replacement for Matuidi. The versatile midfielder from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Burkina-Faso-c2862 has been playing for Olympique de Marseille since 2008 and is known for his overall game play.
The 23-year old former Libourne player has been scouted by giants such as Girondins de Bordeaux, Toulouse, Italian Serie A side Fiorentina and English Premier League side Sunderland.
Kabore has made an impression on Les Verts coach, who considers him to be a top class replacement for Matuidi. Les Phocéens’ defensive midfielder has appeared in 94 matches for the club, garnering invaluable experience at a young age.
According to reports, ASSE will be looking for a loan rather than a full transfer, whereas Marseille would be hoping to cash-in on a good deal. Initial reports suggest that Les Verts are considering making a four million Euros bid for the midfielder.
Though ASSE will not be offering a high price for Kabore, Marseille would gladly let go of the midfielder as it would make room for new arrivals at the club.
Recently, Marseille signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Charles-c8808 Kabore will find it hard to get regular playing time at the club next season. A move away from the Stade Vélodrome could be helpful for the youngster,
