The Brazilian defender is a free agent after terminating his contract with Paris Saint-Germain and could make a move to Stade Geoffroy-Guichard this summer
After wearing the colours of Paris Saint-Germain for five years, Marcos Ceara terminated his contract with the Ile club.

With a lot of competition for a place in the starting XI, Ceara made a wise choice by ending his time at the Parc des Princes. At the age of 32, Ceara is quickly reaching the twilight years of his career and is now looking for a new challenge.
Many Brazilian clubs have approached Ceara in recent weeks including former clubs Coritiba FC and Sao Caetano. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cruzeiro-c38870 also want to sign the defender but it appears that Ceara is keen on staying in Ligue 1 for the time being.
Reports claim that two Ligue 1 clubs are keen on attaining the services of the experienced defender. The first club is Evian Thonon-Gaillard who are keen on further strengthening the squad following a successful debut Ligue 1 campaign.
However, Les Croix may not be able to fulfil Ceara’s requirements. The Brazilian wants to play for a club that has a different project. Though they have made a great start to Ligue 1 football, Evian do not have a profile that attracts the Brazilian.
