According to ASA rules, if you play with a team in an 18U gold tournament, does that mean that you can no longer play any level of ASA softball except Gold for that year? What if you are dropping down to another agre bracket all together, like 16UA?

  1. if you wanted to drop down to a lower age bracket then that should be fine, but if you are on a gold bracket team you probably have to stay gold the entire year because i was on an 18u gold bracket team this year and every tournament we were in the gold bracket.  if you didn't want to be at that level for a tournament you should talk to the tournament director and they might let you go to a lower bracket.

  2. you can go to 16u a if you have a signed release from your 18 gold coach and was no older than 16 on 1-1-08. also most coaches don't submit roster until the deadline if roster has not yet been submitted your team could play in any tournament their age will allow.
