    Guests With Special Needs

Accommodations have been made throughout Knott's Theme Park for our guests with special needs. A Special Assistance Pass is required for modified waiting times to attractions. A Special Assistance Pass may be obtained at the Information Center located behind the grand entrance to the theme park. A doctor's note or diagnosis documentation may be required. Wheelchair usage does not guarantee a Special Assistance Pass. Knott's has created a Rider Safety Guide that provides information on wheelchair and non-ambulatory guest access to rides and attractions. The Guide is also available by contacting Knott's Guest Services, P.O. Box 5002, Buena Park, CA 90622-5002, (714) 220-5220. While at the Park you may also inquire at Knott's Information Center.

  2. ya if you have someone in a wheelchair. they cut you infornt of everyone else. the persone in the wheelchair and your party will cut in line. have fun! sorry about you leg

  3. I really don't think they let you "cut" anymore. You will get different access on to the ride, but will probably not get immediate boarding, you aren't capable or standing, but ARE capable of WAITING at least for a few minutes. So are all handicaped people. So although you might get a different line, you should expect to wait. There are a lot of people in wheelchairs, if they where all let on at the same time, the people who are standing in line would be there forever, and that is unfair to them.

Another thing, since you have a large party, they might ask half of your group to wait in line and meet you at the loading station. And please, that IS fair, you would wait anyway. It is not like they are making you stand.  Also, you sadi you had a broken leg, some rides don't let you on if you have a cast. I mean your leg is broken, if it hits the side of the car, it might slow the healing. I had a broken arm 10 years ago when I went to knotts, and the questioned me about it everyride, now that was 10 years ago. Now, with all these crazy lawsuits, you can expect them to do the same, maybe even more.

  4. Policies regarding handicapped people vary from park to park, but you're not really handicapped, you just broke your leg.  You'll have to contact their customer service department (or guest relations) to get details on if they'll allow you to cut, or if they'll make your party stand in line while you wait for them at the ride's exit.

Also, since your leg is broken, most 'major' rides, like coasters, won't allow you to ride if you have an injury.  But that's another thing you'll have to talk to guest relations about.

it doesn't matter, anyone in a wheelchair gets first dibs. at disneyland california adventure they let a HUGE lady in a power scooter thing get to the front. ya, that is a disability, to a point, but they shouldn't reward people who have no self control, so much, that they can't even walk
