ASCOT VALE .. Links to Old Photographs and history?

Hi,

I've been looking for decent ( decent being the operative word) Links to the History of ASCOT VALE VICTORIA AU and Essendon and Moonee Ponds... and I am not having a great deal of Luck and would appreciate it if anybody has any links to provide.

P.S Ascot Vale has some beautiful old homes ... Can anybody tell me what kind of Suburb it was in the 1920's .. Was it an Affluent suburb then ?

Hi Years back there use to be a great antique store in Ascot Vale. The lady there was a mine of interesting information. I brought heaps of little things there. If she is still there it might be a good idea to give her a visit ( we lived in a bluestone in Federation Street)

Ascot Vale Primary School had their grade 5/6 kids to make a video and i think it was about the history of the school and when it first started. the movie was made in 2004.

I don't live near there, i just remember seeing that video when i went to this film festival made by primary school kids around melbourne.
