Question:

(ASKING A THIRD TIME!) How should I juggle school and work?

School's not for like another month, but after a talk with my parents, I'm beginning to wonder if I can keep my job through school or if I should. I want to try to keep my A average from last year, but I'm going to be a softmore and going to get my probationary license soon and need to save for a car, but haven't even gotten my first paycheck yet.

I percieve maybe a 20 hour work week max in the summer, but my parents told me not to work on a school day (which I agree with) because I have to make sure I do all of my homework and stuff. Should I try to work weekends and bring in a small check, but get the tax returns to boost me through the school year, or just take it every summer and put the money in a savings account, where it will gain interest while I'm in school?

P.S. sorry if it was kind of long-winded. Thanks!

Also, I know it's in a weird place, but the suggested sections to put it in were not related to the question and I couldn't find a place that would seem good to put it in.

  1. try doing the job just on weekend. If you find you don't have enough time for your schoolwork and friends, etc, then just quit and only work when you have the time too. In the long run, school is more important than getting money for a car.

  2. If you think you can keep the job and just work weekends then go for it.
