  1. how can i protect you in this crazy world ..a class song  and no they are non political but mad i saw them in dublin a mental concert

  2. They're brilliant.

  3. I don't think they're a political band but they do rock!

    = )

  4. Ive seen them several times in random pubs in Waterford....There GOOD..but once youve seen them once, youve seen them a hundred times - they play the same set all the time!

Ive heard they are splitting up!

  5. I had never heard them before I saw your question. I just heard a couple of their songs on youtube, they're pretty good.

  6. They are far from a political band, have seen them many times at home & abroad.  Try google them to find their upcoming gigs :)

  7. Aslan wouldnd't be classed as a political band at all over here.  Some of their live works are even better then their album versions.

There are usually a couple of concerts held every year, check out Vicar's Street website for more details  or the Olympia theatre (two places they regularly play).  You may just check Aslans website also.

Yes, they do have some great songs, but due to very bad management and drug related problems within the band, they have never gotten the popularity they have truely deserved.

  8. Aslan have been around for years, and as far as I know, they're not political (not that any Irish bands really are, to be honest ....)

I saw Aslan play about 21 years ago in Dublin, they played a college gig and the electricity went for the guitars and keyboards, all they had was the singer's mike and the drums. So yer man started singing a rude RUDE song - '"Oul Johnny Ray was a dirty oul ****** and a dirty oul ****** was he" - and everyone was clapping and singing along, it was great. Then the power came back on in the middle of the song and they played a rocking night!

Aslan play local gigs regularly, they've played Dolan's in Limerick many times. Why don't you google Aslan for their website and see?

  9. They play everywhere around the country so you can't miss them. The lead singer's a legend, Christy Dingham and I suppose they are political but they don't exploit it to sell their music like some bands do!!

  10. i saw them in galway a few years back... they were ok

  11. i saw them a few months ago - out of their heads if you ask me. www.ticketmaster.ie - you can get tickets to their concerts here
