ASRock 775V88 socket T MB HELP

I currently own an ASRock 775v88 MB with a 2.8Gig P4 Prescott core Processor. I have set the BIOS to "num Lock on Boot", but num lock doesn't stay on past device detection. I have updated the BIOS(v1.40), and double checked the BIOS settings. Still, same problem. I was hoping someone might be able to help me. this is rather an irritating problem.Thanks in advance, Ken
