If i was to update my accident,sickness and unemployment cover,possibly with a different provider what is the general length of time before you are able to claim if made redundant?

Most Policies will refuse to pay out if you have any reason to think you might be made redundant at the time you took out the Policy.

If there is any indications of Redundancy it is not a good idea to take out a new policy.

The delay before pay-out varies, however 60 to 90 days is not unusual .. (most people will have found a new job within that time, so once again they do not have to pay out).
