A must have is the qwerty keypad. A good camra and touch screen would be nice. I know the tilt has tons of features that I would never use, and that its big. I know from reviews that the duo is slow at times. which one do you think I should get. Should i go for something else like the pearl? I do not want the iphone cuz i already have the touch. Any info would help. BTW im 14 and dont need all the stuff that they put in it so i could run a bussness or something. I just want the qwerty for texting.

  1. Actually, with the right software or rom the Tilt can be a fantastic multimedia phone. The key advantage the Tilt has is the fact that it has Wifi and gps(comes in hand if you get lost by mistake).

With WM touch screen devices you get better 3rd party software(I have a Samsung i780 and my sister has the Moto Q9 and the amount of software options I have is better). If price not an issue may I also suggest the Samsung i780(it is like $425 unlocked), it looks like the blackjack but it has a touch screen, wifi, and gps. You have to get one unlocked but it is a very good phone. It is a little larger than the Blackjack II. If not I would also suggest the blackjack II as it is price less than the both phones, has GPS, a nice screen, and better call quality than the Duo and possibly the Tilt.

Just look at some of the things you can do with the Tilt. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdis...

ps the first software you should get is threaded SMS software either the WM6.1 one or the Palm one.

  2. Based on your needs, go for the Duo. No sense in having features you won't use.

  3. I have a Tilt, and I like it. Though it's good for some functions, it sucks if you want to play games. Sometimes even dialing a number is slow. To dial a number, I have to open the screen, press the function button, then start dialing the number. Sometimes it lags and I have to dial the number again. But it's great for the keyboard, big touch screen, and tons of features. I haven't used the Duo much, just a couple of minutes on a display at the ATT store, but it was alright. My sister's friend has it and says that for some reason she can't send things with Bluetooth with it, but it might just be her phone. And the screen was king of cramped for having Windows Mobile.

If you want a phone with a keyboard, I'd take a look at the BlackJack II. It has all the features you want with a bigger screen and a better price if I remember correctly. It's primary function is a multimedia phone, so you'd probably enjoy it.

    Hope I helped.

  4. Get yourself any phone but the P duo, it is poorly built and at your age, chances are you will wear it out and it will break easily if you aren't extremely careful all the time!

get the HTC TIlt...it is made by one of the best manufacturers in the world.  Synonymous with quality!  Hands down, PERIOD. Your friends will be envious and jealous of you having the Tilt.
