AT&T National on PGA Tour: Tips for the visitors
This week, the scenic Philadelphia town, better known for the Academy Award winning performance of Tom Hanks in the movie “Philadelphia”, will be one crowded town of Pennsylvania, when the city will be host to two big sports events on Thursday, June 30.
Phillies, the local baseball team will be playing against the Boston Red Sox while, the PGA Tour will be kicking off with its event, the AT&T National at Aronimink Golf Club at the eastern end of the city. For the golf fanatics who will be eager to reach
the course to witness the event as the giants wrestle for the top slot, we have come up with a few “do’s and don’ts” which will help the audience on the course and how to reach it.
St. David’s road as well as the Mill View Road will be closed for traffic as per the directions of city traffic police and will remain closed for the weekend. Fans trying to reach the course can opt for the Church Lane as an alternate route.
Those who might be reaching the place on their cars or personnel transport must bear in mind that the St. David’s Road and the Mill View Road will be closed for parking and the Aronimink only allows cars with passes to park within its premises.
There are number of options which can be utilized for reserved car parking. Delaware County Community College, Villanova University, and Greater Philadelphia Expo Center at Oaks have come up with subsidized rates to park in their respective parking lots.

Visitors can also avail the Will Call when parking in the Aronimink parking lot Main Spectator Entrance to catch a shuttle service to the course. The shuttle service will operate Tuesday and Wednesday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 6:30
a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
PGA follows strict policy of bringing cameras on course. Visitors will be allowed to bring cameras on Tuesday and Wednesday and not during the main event on the weekend. The cameras brought over must be still point-and-shoot cameras and must not have long
range lenses and tripod stands.
Players will not be giving out autographs to fans walking around the fairways and will only be eligible to do so after the completion of their respective rounds. The autograph area has been designated at hole number ninth and 18th which can be used for the
specific purposes.
Also the visitors are not allowed to bring any beverages (Alcoholic/non-Alcoholic), cameras, back packs, bags or small purses, folding arm chairs or lawn chairs, banners or posters or any radios on the course.
