I'm an aviation electronics technician in the Navy and I'm separating next month. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for a civilian job that i could find using my AT training.

  1. What area of the country are you in? Big city? Small town? Industrial?

Aircraft maintenance in the civilian world is a tough gig to get. I would look into something like field service tech or automation line technician.

  2. You can probably work either for an aircraft manufacturer or doing maintenance and repair at an airport.

  3. Northrup Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Lear, BF Goodrich, helicopter and plane manufacturers, airports...civilian aircraft and vehicles need maintaining also. With that rate, you have a job for life.
