Your body is slowly deteriorating as we speak.

Why not let science and technology repair it?

  1. Let's all become Borg.

    Resistance is futile.

    .

  2. I am *terrified* of death.  I wish I could come to peace with my own mortality but it just hasn't happened yet.

    I'll look into transhumanism.

  3. its not that i am afraid, just more or less not liking the ultimate end =/

  4. Because I'll probably end up dying before I'm 25 anyway.

    I'm a terrible klutz.

  5. Death is inevitable and there's little point in fretting about it.

I'm surprised that it seems to consume so many people's thoughts

  6. I am not afraid of dying, but I would not turn my nose up at a few more years of healthy life.

If science can give me that, you won't find me fighting it.

  7. Why not indeed?

The advent of nanorobotics could indeed spell eternal life and bliss for all human beings.

  8. What I'm afraid of doesn't lend any credibility to what is true or not.  I'm not gonna waste my life believing dogma because it provides a good afterlife scenario.

  9. Yes. I agree, our bodies are slowly dying as we speak.

I have Christian beliefs, even though I am not involved with any church.

W an't to know why? churches are run and controlled by people.

the last time I did attend church, the pastor was saying we all should give 10% of our income to the church. What a cheek. At the time I had 4 teenage kids. No money to spare. I haven't been back.

I am an organ donar, they can do what they want with me, I don't care.

I do know the trials of this life have been more than sufficient.

I also know life can be great.

My life has been well lived. My age 58.

  10. Nope I am not afraid of dying at the same time I am not in any hurry to arrive at the finish line...

Simply because I am an atheist doesn't mean I have a fear of death and would somehow want to artificially enhance either mind or body..

I may have my b***s put back on their original mooring at some point in the future (gravity works) but I am not looking to do a major overhaul, I am pretty happy with things the way they are...

  11. To the first, no. I'm afraid of not having experiencing all I could. To the second, definitely, I'm hoping the technology will be developed well enough within my lifetime.

  12. Non-Atheist.

Why are you afraid of dying since you believe Jesus will save you?

and next time you seriously sick, please don't ask the ambulance to sent you to the hospital. Not even you need to see a doctor.

your body deteriorating if you sit in front of the computer too long and no going out to do some exercise. And computer is a product of science and technology and please do stick with it too long..

Go exercise to make your mind clearer before you type.

    Just a suggestion.

  13. Who wants to live forever?

  14. its not death or what lies after (nothing), but rather the events that lead TO my death.

  15. .. Atheist or not.. people are not afraid to die.. if we talk of death per se.  We are afraid to die because we will be denied of the very chance to do what we want in our lives...

  16. Not really...death is death.

I will use any medical technology which prolongs my life as long as it does not prolong misery (pointless life).

  17. I'm not afraid of death, but I'm not a transhumanist. We are built to last a certain amount of time, and no longer- why should we prolong our suffering?
